On Wednesday, November the 23d, The Academy of Science, Arts and Hobbies held the soap-making class for Center 2 students.
Soap-making, being among the first chemical processes known to humanity, has a long history. It is, therefore, remarcable that today we still use the initial ingredients — herbs, natural oils, flower essences. At the same time, we have the benefits of the developed technology — nice silicone molds in all possible shapes, various colorings to make your soap attractive, and glitter — oh! it is so beautiful!
During the soap-making class, our students learned how to mix the herbs and flowers, how much flower essence to add in order to get a pleasant fragrance, how to make layers in different colors, and how to decorate the product. The nice final touch — all soap was packed to be presented to mothers, grandmothers, and sisters! Great job!
