Kids are naturally inquisitive. They never stop asking Why-questions on how things work, and this is what makes them ideal scientists. Last Friday Center 3 students had a chance to get lots of answers to such questions of theirs.
The children attended a science workshop in English where they explored properties of the 4 elements: air, fire, water and earth. They got to see a real mini-volcano, a burst of a ball filled with hydrogen, learnt how the low temperature changes properties of objects. They also estimated the air pressure of a super-blower and witnessed a case of levitation! All together — more than 10 experiments. At the end the young researchers made take-home polymer worms as a scientific gift!
