This Wednesday was special for our centre 3 as they had a great chance to learn more about the 5 senses in an unusual way.
At the Sight station students discovered the ability to read words backwards with the help of a mirror.
At the Touch station kids could feel various objects hidden in a bag like a rough shell,a spiky hairbrush or a soft furry toy. Not only were the kids able to identify items’ texture but say exactly what they were.
At the Smell station children also challenged themselves by guessing the sources of smells in containers. It was funny that some students found cat food’s smell nice whereas the others found it disgusting.
At the Hearing station kids listened to some sounds coming from the rooms of a block of flats. They compared their real neighbors with the sample ones and, fortunately, the real neighbors are much quieter.
At the Taste station kids tried some delicious sweet, sour and salty foods and awoken their appetite right before the lunchtime!
