Golden Section’s 7th graders were treated to a mesmerising spectacle in the form of a ‘dubbing’ competition. The inspired students, in groups of 2 to 4, were tasked with finding a short video clip from a popular Christmas movie and dubbing over the original dialogue with their own English dialogue.
The goal was to accurately convey the emotions, tone, flow, and meaning of the scene while wielding the advanced English vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation that were bestowed upon them. It was great fun!
Overall, the film dubbing competition was a resounding success. It provided the students with a dynamic and engaging way to improve their language skills while also fostering teamwork, creativity, and confidence. The competition has not only enhanced the students’ ability to communicate effectively in English but has also ignited a passion for learning and using the English language in a fun and interactive way.
